LEVANT – Angela M. (Stokes) Mahoney, 22, wife of Donald F. Mahoney, died unexpectedly, Feb. 1, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born Feb. 16, 1983, in Bangor, the daughter of Gregory M. and Cynthia A. (Briggs) Stokes. Angela grew up in Levant and was a 2001 graduate of Hermon High School. She recently graduated from Unity College with a degree in environmental policy. She received many honors and awards. She had been working as an environmental consultant for Engineering Technology, Inc. Angela and Donald attended school together, began dating in high school and had married Sept. 17, 2005. She was a vibrant individual who touched and blessed many lives. Although Angie did not get a chance to have children, she enjoyed being a mother to her beloved puppy, Haylee, who passed away with her. Surviving in addition to her loving husband and parents of Levant are two sisters, Christine Stokes and Danielle Stokes, both of Levant; paternal grandparents, Marvin and Deanie Stokes of Hudson; aunts and uncles, Patricia Briggs of Bangor, Linda and Edward Cotter of Levant, Bob and Jori-Lynn Briggs of Bangor, Kathy and James LaForest of Hudson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Renee Overlock of Carmel; a brother-in-law, Corey Mahoney of Carmel; and a sister-in-law, Laura Mahoney of Brewer; Donald’s grandparents, John and Leora Mahoney of Lebeck, Calif.; many cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Georgette Briggs. Family and friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Sunday, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, with the Rev. Rick Lambert, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
