CARIBOU – Anita D. Belanger, 63, died Sept. 19, 2007, at her residence. She was born Feb. 17, 1944, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Jean Baptiste and Laura (Oakes) Daigle. Anita and her husband raised their children in Maine and Pennsylvania. Once their children were grown they became adventurous and traveled extensively throughout the country, eventually settling in Aurora, Colo. Anita operated her own construction company, receiving many local business awards. Upon retiring, she and her husband returned home to Maine. Anita will be remembered as a hard worker, as well as a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her selflessness and faith in God allowed her to touch many people. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Roy Belanger of Caribou; five children, Laurie Theriault of Moosic, Pa., Peter Belanger of Long Pond, Pa., Philip Theriault and his wife, Marguerite, of Castle Rock, Colo., Allan Theriault of Aurora, Colo., and Laurie Sirois and her husband, Ken Gagnon, of St. Agatha; grandchildren, Brent, Ross, Michael, Christine, Scott, Riley, Samantha, Jazmine, Wyatt and Mason; siblings, Albert Daigle and his wife, Ida, of Fort Kent, Priscilla Pelletier and her husband, Hervin, of Hermon, Joan Oue-llette and her husband, Lawrence, of Fort Kent, Joel Daigle and his wife, Eleanor, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Clau-dette Oakes and her husband, Jack, of Plainville, Conn., several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a stepson, Leroy Belanger. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with Father David Raymond, celebrant. Interment will take place at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to Edgar J.
