SEAL HARBOR – Ann F. Pyle died Aug. 23, 2007, at Hilaire Farm Nursing Home, Hunt-ington, Long Island, N.Y. She was born Jan. 17, 1916, in New York City. In recent decades, she has spent the winters in Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y., and summers in Seal Harbor. She is survived by her five children, Diana Pyle Rowan and her husband, Dr. Joseph E. Rowan, of New York City, Dr. David Finlay Pyle and his wife, Sarah Newhall, of Wash-ington, D.C., James Gordon Pyle and his wife, Deborah Haddock Pyle, of Jericho, Vt., John McAlpin Pyle of Halesite, N.Y., and Ann Pyle Brickley and her husband, Payson Brickley, of Malvern, Pa. Mrs. Pyle also has eight surviving grandchildren, Victoria Cummings Rowan, Ian McAlpin Rowan, Edward VanSantvoord Rowan, Courtney Townsend Pyle, Abigail Bentley Pyle, Matthew Finlay Pyle, Kimberly Townsend Brickley and James Payson Brickley; and two great-grandchildren, Whitney Hayes Rowan and Hudson Stephenson Brown. She was predeceased by Lindsey Stephenson Brown. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at St. Ignatius Church, 8 Lookout Way, Northeast Harbor.
