ARGYLE – Ann Marie MacArthur, 60, died peacefully Nov. 29, 2006, with her daughter, Sandy, at her side. She was born May 13, 1946, in Bangor, the daughter of Arthur and Luba (Garber) Blackman of Old Town. She graduated from Brewer High School and worked at Eastern Fine Paper for a number of years. She also worked at the Old Town mill for more than 20 years. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Robert MacArthur October 2006. She is survived by her only child, Sandy MacArthur; and her two grandchildren, Ashley Ann Roy and Christopher Allen Roy Jr., all of Bradley. She loved her grandchildren dearly and they kept her going during her long, courageous battle with cancer. She is also survived by one brother, Arthur Blackman and wife, Janice, of Michigan; one sister, Cheryl Blackman of Brewer, also numerous nieces and nephews. At Ann’s request there will be no funeral, but there will be a memorial service for both Ann and Bob May 2007. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the cancer center at Eastern Maine Medical Center in her honor.
