STEUBEN and HANCOCK Ann Marie Ray, 60, of Hancock, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, from a long battle with cancer. Ann graduated at the top of her class at Milbridge High School, Milbridge, in 1966. She had worked as a secretary for H&H Marine, Steuben, for 16 years. Annie loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to bake and to knit. She always had worked with her hands, whether it was clamming, raking berries or making wreathes. She loved to read the Bible and have it read to her when she was unable to. Annie had a love for Rays Point, Milbridge, for she had fond memories of her childhood there and as she got older, she had taken her own children there. She was a fan of Bobby Labonte in NASCAR and the N.Y. Yankees, which made for great conversation at work. She is survived by four children, Elliott Pinkham and his wife, Angela, and their children, Kaylene, Kristen, Kelly and Kara, of Webb City, Mo.; Larry Pinkham and his wife, Julie, and his kids, David and Matt, and her kids, Monica, Robert and Monique, of Steuben; Lori King and her children, Dustin, Joshua and Scott of Gouldsboro; and Richard Pinkham and his wife, Jen, and his kids, Dennis and Katie, and their daughter, Deanna of Steuben. She is also survived by her mother, Venelva Ray of Milbridge; three sisters, Nancy Ginn and her husband, Walter, of Steuben, Marita Dow and her husband, Doug, of Papillion, Neb., and Lisa Johnson and her husband, Brian, of Roques Bluff. She will be sadly missed by several special friends, including Richard E. Pinkham and Judy Bellatty, both of Gouldsboro, Bruce Grindle and Eric Moores, both of Steuben. The family would like to thank all that helped with your love and care during this difficult time.
