LEE – Anniebell Russell, 89, wife of the late Arthur Russell, went home to be with the Lord, Sept. 20, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born May 11, 1918, in Carroll, the daughter of Edgar and Hattie (Childs) Tibbetts. Anniebell was an avid knitter. She knitted many, many dishcloths and gave them all away. She was a longtime member of Springfield Community Chapel. She is survived by five children, Barbara Worster of Levant, Roycene and her husband, Donald Worster, of Lee, Melinda and her husband, Butch Barker, of Medway, Reginald Russell and his wife, Lianne, of Springfield, and Sadie Perry of Mattawamkeag; a daughter-in-law, Linda Russell of Eaton; many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Arthur, she was predeceased by five children, Arthur, Edward Terry, Gary, Sharon and Robin; two brothers, Ernest and Claude Tibbetts; and a sister, Louise McFarland. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Lindsay Cemetery, Carroll, with the Rev. Bruce Swan officiating.
