SULLIVAN – Anthony “Tony” Moon, 64, died at an Ellsworth healthcare facility on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2003, after a long and stubborn fight against cancer. Born on Sept. 3, 1939, he was the son of James and Norma (Spurling) Moon. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Meredith Ann; his sons, Douglas and his wife, Tammie, of Ransomville, N.Y., Stephen and his wife, Cassie, of Portland; his daughter, Lisa and her husband, Scott Ladd, of Penobscot; two stepsons, Peter Boucar and his wife, Mary, of Franklin, and Christopher Boucar of Eastbrook; four sisters, Erdine McAlpine, Rose Potavin, Diane Michaud and Cindy Kennealy; one brother, Wayne Moon; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. At his request there will be no funeral services. There will be a graveside service at the Gordon Cemetery in Sullivan at a later date. Those wishing to contribute in his memory may do so at the Mary Dow Cancer Center in Ellsworth. Arrangements are under the care of Cremation Services of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
