MEDWAY – Anthony W. “Pooch” Rudge, 60, died Jan. 20, 2005, at a Millinocket hospital. He was born June 5, 1944, and raised in Medway. Pooch spent his life doing what he loved most– being a logger for H. Arthur York; cruising the back woods of Rockabeema; and spending summer days in the yard with his friends and a cup of tea. Pooch leaves behind his childhood sweetheart and wife of 40 years, Rose “Marie” (Berry) of Medway; his son, Scott, and wife, Charity, his son, Mark of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Corey, Alicia and “Dani” of Amelia, Va. He will be especially missed by his “Girls”, granddaughters, Nichole, and Courtney Rudge, (daughters of Scott and Charity); his faithful companions, Bear and Dozer and a special helper and friend, Adam Brackett; sisters, Anna Snowman of Woodville, Eleanor Tidwell of Montgomery, Ala., Gloria Foley of Medway; brothers, Alton of Medway, Henry of Medway, George of Dresden, John of Millinocket and Gary of Medway. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold Rudge of Medway; a sister, Evangeline “Banjo” Jones of Medway; his father, John; and his mother, Flora of Medway. Humble, caring, loving and giving the legacy he leaves us will keep on living. Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
