PRESQUE ISLE – Antoine H. J. Patenaude Sr. 77, died Aug. 4, 2004, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Saint-Pamphile, Quebec, Canada, the son of Edmund and Claudia (Jalbert) Patenaude. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. His love of baseball and especially his love of the New York Yankees were only surpassed by his love for his wife, his children and his grandchildren. Predeceasing him was his wife, Elizabeth (Bell) Patenaude; and three sisters; Alice, Rose and Juliette. Surviving him are five sons; Dave Patenaude and his wife, Zita, of Bangor, Tony Patenaude Jr. and his wife, Melissa, Bob Patenaude, Mike Patenaude and his wife, Susan, all of Presque Isle and Ed Patenaude and his wife, Debra, of Berwick; three daughters, Polly Theriault and her husband Gerard, of Grand Falls, N.B., Canada, Barb Jarrett and her husband, Larry, of Stockholm and Julie Foy and her husband, Ken, of Wilton, 16 grandchildren; and one great- grandchild; four brothers; Alfonse (Pat) Patenaude, Robert Patenaude and Raymond Patenaude, all of Connecticut and Alfred Patenaude of Florida; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Main Street with the Rev. Fred Irving celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s North Main St. Cemetery.
