OLD TOWN and MILFORD Arleene Hesseltine Pride, 90, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her family. She was born May 4, 1915, in Enfield, daughter of the late Hyram and Maude (Whittier) Currier. Arleene will be remembered for her infinite love for her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was an avid shopper at yard sales and enjoyed playing beano and cards with her family and friends. Arleene was formerly employed at the University of Maine and Eastern Maine Medical Center. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her seven children, daughter, Gloria Jenkins of Bangor, son, Clair Hesseltine and his wife, Marie, of Milford, son, Stanley Hesseltine and his wife, Linda, of Milford, son, Richard Hesseltine and his wife, Judith, of Milford, son, Lawrence “Whitey” Hesseltine and his wife, Judy, of Lincoln, daughter, Sharon Raymond and her husband, Gerald, of Holyoke, Mass., Bruce Hesseltine and his wife, Susan, of Meriden, Conn.; 34 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Wallace of Kingman; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Hesseltine; husband, Harold Pride; four children, George, Charles Edward, Delores, Linda; two grandsons, Milo Jenkins Jr. and Carl Hesseltine. A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lawndale Cemetery in Old Town with Pastor David Natalie officiating.
