WINTERPORT – Jeffrey Carl Emerson, 53, formerly of Natick, Mass., entered into eternal peace Tuesday, May 3, 2005. Jeffrey will be dearly missed by family and friends but his legend lives on in the work that he did for others. He was a passionate craftsman in the art of fine and general carpentry and automotive mechanics. Among his other passions were his beloved dog Clyde and other animals, traveling, history and enjoying time outdoors. Jeffrey attended elementary schools in Massachusetts including the private Fessenden School. In 1964 through 1966 he attended the Schiller school in Cologne, Germany where he became bilingual in German, and he completed his education at Natick High School. He is survived by his son, Owen Carl Emerson and his companion, Amanda Lord. Jeffrey will be remembered by his siblings, Gary Emerson and wife, Silke, Ginny Emerson and her husband, Majid Sairafi, Kevin Emerson and his wife, Jo-Ann Gaul, Vicki Emerson and her companion, Dan Jolie. He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, Sheeva and Shereen Sairafi, Kelly and Michael Maloney, Anna Hope Emerson and Matt Jolie. Jeffrey also leaves his loving companion of six years, Joyce Jantz, and family, and his former wife, Lauren Emerson. He will also be remembered by good friend Tim Davies, and Krista Lund and families. He was predeceased by father, Carl Emerson, and mother, Hope. A service of remembrance will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. Visitation for family and friends will be held 3 p.m. Saturday until time of service. In place of flowers please make a contribution to the charity of your choice.
