OCALA, Fla. and BREWER Arlene A. Lachance, 83, died April 8, 2004. She was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Bangor, the daughter of Wallace and E. Minnie (Robinson) Miller. Arlene was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer, and is best remembered for her gentle nature and devotion to her family. Arlene was a warm and giving person who “always had room for one more at her table.” She will be sadly missed by son, Stephen and wife, Linda Lachance, of Bucksport; four daughters, Pamela and husband, Michael McElroy, of Ocala, Fla., Linda and husband, Michael Thibodeau, of Jacksonville, Fla., Kathy and husband, James Petersen, of Wells, Susan and husband, Scott Dexter, of Daleville, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, Kimberly, Monique, Danielle, Misty, Jen, Shawna, Jeff, Michael, Ryan, Emily and Nicholas; 12 great-grandchildren, J.R., Christina, Ashley, Tiara, Taylor, Gabrielle, Alex, Jesse, Summer, Austin, MiKayla and Brianna; her brother, George Miller of Holden; her sister-in-law, Gloria Grass of Carmel; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Joseph G. Lachance; and son, Alan G. Lachance. It was her wish that there be no service. Interment will take place at Good Shepherd Memorial in Ocala, Fla. Gifts in her memory may be made to Hospice of Eastern Maine, 412 State St., Bangor, ME 04401.
