HOULTON and HAYNESVILLE – Arlo Z. Estabrook, 86, died Feb. 21, 2007, at a local health care facility. He was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Hodgdon, the daughter of Perley and Weltha (Alward) Estabrook. Arlo served with distinction in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning three Purple Hearts. He was a member of the Seldon Baptist Church, life member of the Mechanics Masonic Lodge No. 66 of Orono, life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, life member Disabled American Veterans, member of the American Legion and a life member of the Order of Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Karnes) Estabrook of Houlton; two sons and their wives, Timothy and Rena of Frankfort and Eric and Alice of Florida, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home noon Saturday until time of services 1 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Johnston officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Haynesville.
