COLUMBIA FALLS and BANGOR – Arnold Ingersoll, 95, passed away March 7, 2007, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born March 26, 1911, to William and Levonia Ingersoll. Arnold worked at raising blueberries and cutting wood for most of his life. He especially enjoyed using his “Big Red” and his Farmall Cub tractor. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing and having his family visit. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Lucy Grant; nieces, Alice Dorr, Velma Norton; and nephew, David Grant. He is survivied by a special great-niece, Sarah Fletcher and her husband, Gene, who had lived with and taken care of him for his final years; her children, Kerry Peabody and his wife, Carrie and his children, Mike, Chris, Chelsea and Brimwin, who was a frequent visitor of Arn; Michelle Peabody, her daughter, Jamie, son, Jonathan and her granddaughter, Hailey; and Alan Peabody and his wife, Christine. He is also survived by nieces, Virgie Faulkingham and her son, Kevin, of Birch Harbor, Merna Cowan and her daughter, Sheryl, of Palmyra, Nancy Prince of Columbia Falls; nephews, Richard Dorr of Bangor, James Norton Jr. of Newport; and a special friend, Marian Dow; and many other family members. At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
