BAILEYVILLE – Arthur “Artie” A. Shain, 64, of Baileyville, died Wednesday Dec. 7, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. Arthur was born Oct. 19, 1941, in St. Stephen, NB, son of Arthur Shain and Jean Munson. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruth; one daughter, Kim Fleet and son-in-law, Tim Fleet, of Halifax, Nova Scotia; one sister, Bernita Jones of Princeton; and two nieces, Melissa Corbett and Cindy Socabassin. He also leaves behind his best friend and beloved black lab, Abigail. Arthur worked for Georgia Pacific/Domtar from 1957 to retirement in 2003. He owned and operated St. Croix Camps on the beautiful St. Croix River. Internment will be held in the Spring at the Baileyville Cemetery.
