SANGERVILLE – Aubrey H. Garland, 82, died Sept. 26, 2007, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Togus. He was born Dec. 14, 1924, in Sangerville, a son of Harry and Iva (Cleaves) Garland. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Aubrey was employed for many years at Grist Mill, Dexter, and later at Dexter Shoe Co. He enjoyed antique automobiles and tractors. Aubrey and Charlotte were members of Guilford Center Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte (Call) Garland; and daughter, Sharon York, both of Sangerville; two sisters, Evelyn and Ruth Garland, both of Dexter; three grandchildren, Joshua York, Eabha Garland, Kristy Wenger and husband, William; and one great-grandson, Bryce Wenger. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. A graveside committal service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Corinna Center Cemetery.
