AUREL DAIGLE MADAWASKA – Aurel J. Daigle, 75, passed away peacefully March 6, 2008, at his home. He was born June 28, 1932, in Keegan, the son of Aurele Daigle and Jeanne (Cormier, Daigle) Dufour. Aurel was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie Uneeda (Cyr) Daigle; eight children, Louise Hauser and husband, Brian, of Virginia Beach, Va., Carol Charbonneau and husband, Peter, of Vero Beach, Fla., Richard Daigle and companion, Michele, Linda Sirois and husband, Michael, Paula Michaud and husband, Peter, Andrew Daigle and wife, Peggy, Glenn Daigle, all of Madawaska and James Daigle and wife, Cindy, of Monticello; 20 grandchildren, Christina, Tarah, Samantha, Anthony, Adam, Austin, Renee, Tricia, Kristal, Angel, Michael, Matthew, Aaron, Shane, Dylan, Megan, Courtney, Anthony and Aiden; four great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Chason, Liam and Owen; a sister, Ann Marie Dufour of Sacramento, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Joel Dufour and Roland Dufour. There will be no viewing hours. A military funeral will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska.
