BANGOR – Austin Derek Hewey, almost 2, beloved son of Crystal Hewey, died unexpectedly April 6, 2006, at his residence. He was born April 21, 2004, in Bangor, a son of Tyrone Spain and Crystal Hewey. Austin will be remembered for his infectious laugh, warm smiles, and showing off his belly button by lifting his shirt up high. He loved to play with his cars and trains. He was the light of his Mom’s life and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his “Mumma,” Crystal; Nana and Papa Lorna and David Lister; grandparents, Linda and Keith Hewey; cousin, Izabel “Bella” Hewey; aunt, Seairha Todd; uncles, Derek Richardson, Colie Hewey and Ricky Coleman; brother and sisters, Trevin Spain, Kayla Spain and Amethyst Varney; father, Ty Spain. A celebration of Austin’s life will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. It has been requested that no one wear purple to the service, please. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. Donations may be made in support of Austin’s mother, Crystal Hewey, 1337 Hammond St., Lot No. 5, Bangor ME 04401.
