CARIBOU – Azilda M. Guerrette, 85, wife of the late Leo Joseph Guerrette, died Jan. 25, 2004, at Presque Isle. She was born Jan. 3, 1919, in Sinclair, the daughter of Fred and Marie (Ouellette) Albert. Mrs. Guerrette was a faithful member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and also attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sinclair. She was also a member of the Catholic Golden Age. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Frenchville. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Campbell and her husband, Robert, of Fort Fairfield, Loretta Decker and her special friend, Jim Dikeman, of Old Orchard Beach, Antoinette “Toni” Phillips and her special friend, Bob O’Brien, of Fort Fairfield, and Ogunquit, and Regina Anderson and her husband, Richard, of Terryville, Conn. Mrs. Guerrette was a loving and devoted memere to her 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a longtime devoted friend, Pauline Emond. Mrs. Guerrette was predeceased by her husband of more than 53 years, Leo Joseph Guerrette in 1992; a son, Roland; six brothers, Joe, Bill, Lewis, Roland, Reginald, and Rene; four sisters, Aurore, Exelia, Cora and Rose. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
