PALM BAY, Fla. – Barbara Jean Kenney, former resident of New Bedford, Mass., passed away Dec. 31, 2007. She was born Aug. 24, 1932, in Bangor. She is survived by seven daughters, Linda Speed, Cheryl Hanscom, Paula Smith, Pamela Look, Jayne Huston, Deanna Costa and Laurel Kenney; three sisters, Fern Clendenning, Mir-iam Froebel and Betty Piccard. Many dear grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons and great-granddaughters are also left behind. A visitation with a funeral Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery, with her beloved husband, Capt. Edward James Kenney. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Health First, 1900 Dairy Road, Melbourne, FL 32904. Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now – he set me free.
