SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – Barbara M. (Wark) Podolski, passed away Oct. 26, 2005, at a Springfield hospital, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 4, 1938, in Stetson, the daughter of Avis (Archer) and Harold Wark. Throughout her life, Barbara enjoyed family gatherings, going out to eat, taking care of and decorating her house, and especially enjoyed children. She will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her father, Harold; her mother Avis (Archer) Wark; her husband, Edward Podolski; a son, Richard Curtis Jr.; and a sister, Marion. She is survived by a son, Paul Curtis, of Thorndike; two sisters, Patricia Hersey of Speerfish, S.D. and Betty Sutherland of Corinth; two brothers, Linwood and his wife, Alice, of Ellsworth and Larry and his wife, Debbie, of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Paul Curtis Jr., Leon Curtis, Jody Curtis, Richard Curtis III and Crystal Curtis; four great-grandchildren, Calvin Curtis, Haley Curtis, Katlynn Curtis, and Hunter Curtis, 18 nieces and nephews and their families. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Larabee Fund Center, 271 Shibles Road, Knox.
