BANGOR – Barbara (McKenzie) Nolan died after a long illness Sept. 13, 2005, at the home of her longtime companion, Robert Ellis, in Bullhead City, Ariz. She was born Feb. 11, 1945, in Van Buren, a daughter of Maurice and Phyllis E. (Hazelwood) McKenzie. She was predeceased by one brother, Roger McKenzie. Barbara is survived by two sons and one daughter, Maurice Bedard and wife, Sherry, Don Wade of Bangor, Rhonda Magnusson and husband, Everett, of Arizonia; one sister, Marlene (McKenzie) Bernaiche; and brother, William McKenzie of Hampden; 27 year-old friend, Bill W.; six grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles in the Bangor area. Memorial services to be held 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at the 24-hour Club, Lincoln Street, Bangor. In lieu of flowers those interested may donate to the relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina.
