BROOKSVILLE – Barbara Ruth (Keith) Churchill, 76, died Jan. 3, 2008, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 20, 1931, in East Bridgewater, Mass., the daughter of Arthur and Ruth Keith. Barbara served for many years as librarian for the town of Hanson (Mass.) and then for Maine Maritime Academy’s library, Castine, until she retired. Barbara was an avid reader, who also enjoyed flower gardens, bird watching, sharing her recipes and visiting with family and friends, of which she had many. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Thomas Churchill of Brooks-ville; two children, son, Thomas Jr. of Brooksville and daughter, Elin Mackinnon and her husband, Carl Faulstick, of Orono; her brother, Charles Keith and his wife, Jill, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; her sister, Beverly B. Schofield of Taunton, Mass.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Eric Churchill; and two grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to remember Barbara 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at West Brooksville Congregational Church.
