BARRY SHUMAN NAVARRE, Fla. – Barry Shuman, a retired 28-year member of the Maine State Police and 34-year veteran of the Maine Air National Guard, passed away peacefully June 2, 2005, after a yearlong battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his brother, Chuck; five children; and 11 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. June 11, at the East Orrington Congregational Church, Orrington. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the Barry Shuman Memorial Fund at any Key Bank location. Proceeds from the fund will be donated to a cancer-related charity to be determined at a later date. A complete obituary will be forthcoming.
