BELFAST – Beatrice B. Harriman, 91, passed away March 28, 2008, at Tall Pines Nursing Home, Belfast. Beatrice was born Aug. 9, 1916, in Northport, to parents Mattie Proctor Lear and Irving Lear. She had a passion for the outdoors, as well as animals, flowers, especially pansies and most importantly, spending time with her beloved family. She was predeceased by her brothers, Norman Lear, William Lear, Raymond Lear, Lee Lear, Lawrence Lear, Clarence Rodney Lear, Carrol Lear and Roland Lear; sisters, Elva Green, Dorothy Lear, Laurena Windoffer, Dora Lear and Doris Lear; and daughter, Alfreda Robinson. She is survived by her brother, Linwood “Jack” Lear and his wife, Roberta; her children, Joseph Harriman and wife, Laura, of Stockton Springs, Barbara Robbins of Searsport, Verley Dooley of Fitchburg, Mass., Leroy Harriman and wife, Gail, of Northport, Dewain Harriman of Arizona, Linda Pomeroy and hus-band, Hugh Jr., of Searsport; as well as 36 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Tall Pines for their tenderness and loving care during her 10 years at Tall Pines. Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Warren Heath officiating.
