BANGOR – Beatrice Mary Willette, 89, wife of the late Wilfred J. Willette Sr., died Nov. 1, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Joggins, Nova Scotia, a daughter of Patrick C. and Beatrice (Wallace) Boudreau. Beatrice moved with her family to Maine in 1929. She was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1935. She worked at the Philco Shoe Factory for six years prior to her marriage to Wilfred in 1941. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, reading, crafts, crossword puzzles and volunteering for numerous community and church causes. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Parish Community. She is survived by three sons, Wilfred J. Willette Jr. and wife, Suzanne, of Lisbon Falls, John Willette and wife, Gerry, of Gloucester, Mass., and Lawrence Willette and wife, Jo Ann of Buffalo, Minn.; three daughters, Elaine Willette of Bangor, Anne Richard and husband, Paul, of Bradley and Barbara Willette of Old Orchard Beach; 11 grandchildren, Shawn, Steven, Karen, Melissa, Roseanne, Cristina, Christopher, Mark, Michelle, Benjamin and Matthew; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1993; a son, David in 1991; four brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a prayer service will be held 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Farley, presiding. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. A reception will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Hall after the interment.
