SORRENTO – Benjamin D. Perry, 32, cherished son of Dennis E. and Joyce M. Perry and beloved husband of Jessica Lawrence Perry, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, with his family at his side, at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, after a long and courageous battle with a deadly disease. Benjamin was raised in Sorrento and most recently, resided in South Berwick. He was a teacher at Traip Academy, Kittery and truly relished his role as an educator of high school students. Benjamin, prior to this, had taught in Danforth and Poland. He is survived by his sister, Erin Perry Eggers and her husband, Daniel, of Sudbury, Mass.; two very special nephews, Luke and Duncan; his grandmothers, Eva Lillian Mor-se of Windham and Dorothy Y. Perry of Sorrento; four aunts, three uncles and several cousins, who were also an important part of his family. Special recognition to “Uncle Denny and Auntie Pat Tobin,” of Lynn, Mass., who helped his family through this difficult time. Services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at First Parish Federated Church, Academy Street, South Berwick. A special graveside service at Doanes Point Cemetery, Sorrento, will be held this summer at a time and date to be announced.
