CAMBRIDGE – Bernard A. Ricker, 81, died Feb. 16, 2007, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Harmony, son of Lionel and Helen (Pike) Ricker. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After returning from the service, he worked for Dexter Shoe until his retirement. He had a strong faith and was an active member of the Cambridge Baptist Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 60 years, Edith (Tayor) Ricker of Cambridge; two daughters, Lorna and her husband, Larry Jones, of Massachusetts and Bonnie Long of Roanoke, Va.; a son, Joel Ricker and his close friend, Karen, of Richmond, Vt.; two grandchildren, Matthew Long of Silver Spring, Md., and Adam Long of Roanoke, Va. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, with the Rev. Bill Innman officiating. Friends may call 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Spring burial will be at Cambridge Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Cambridge Baptist Church.
