DELAND, Fla. – Bernice A. Landry, 89, died April 2, 2006, at a DeLand, Florida hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Dexter. Before moving to DeLand, Fla., she was branch manager of Depositor’s Trust Company in Dexter, and prior to that co-owner, with her husband, of Landry Oil Company and Abbie’s Esso Station in Dexter. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in DeLand, Fla. and St. Anne Catholic Church in Dexter. She was a member of the Dexter Literary Club and the Dexter Club. She moved to DeLand, Fla. with her husband in 1978. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Landry of DeLand, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Thursday, April 6, at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel, DeLand, Fla. Interment was at DeLand Memorial Gardens, DeLand.
