MOUNT DESERT – Bernice “Bun” Mabel Robinson, 93, died July 30, 2008, in Mount Desert. She was born Dec. 9, 1914, in Searsmont, the daughter of Leslie Alvin and Bertha Estelle Wentworth. Bernice was one of 10 children. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Chambers and her husband, Don, of Mount Desert; one stepson, Richard Robinson of Port Char-lotte, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph Wentworth of Wiscasset and Richard Wentworth of Camden; two sisters, Gertrude “Trudy” Dickey of Searsport and Esther Stevens of Portland; one granddaughter, Jan Hall and husband, Robert A., of Bass Harbor; and four great-grandchildren, Paul Grindle, Cassie Parsons, Blake Parsons and Ross Parson. Bernice was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Clyde Robinson; five sisters, Lucena Josephson, Louise Eugley, Vera Allenwood, Barbara Moody and Bessie Russell; and one granddaughter, Jeanne C. Grindle. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Northeast Harbor, with the Rev. William Bigelow officiating.
