PATTEN and BREWER – Bertha Deprey, 84, wife of the late John Deprey Jr., went home to be with her Savior Jan. 20, 2008, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born May 10, 1923, in Quimby, the daughter of Fred and Amanda (Daigle) Gerneault. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her children, Norman A. Deprey and his wife, Rachel, of Orrington, Alfred Deprey and his wife, Doris, of Holden, Rita and her husband, Bud Reed, of Holden, Gilbert Deprey and his wife, Linda, of Patten, Nancy and her husband, Gerald Beede, of Bangor and Nelson Deprey and his wife, Lois, of Old Town; one sister, Rose Bower of Connecticut; one brother, Paul Gerneault and his wife, Lilly, of Eagle Lake; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several stepsisters and stepbrothers. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held noon Wednesday, Jan. 23, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, Cath-olic chaplain at St. Joseph Hospital, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at 103 Rider Bluff Road, Holden, immediately after the service.
