SOUTHINGTON – Bertha (Pinette) Gagnon, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at the Nursing Care Center of Bristol. She was born in Fort Kent on Oct. 11, 1917, the daughter of the late Fedime and Demerise (Gagnon) Pinette. She was the wife of the late Reginald Gagnon, who was owner and founder of Gagnon Trucking Co. She had resided in Wallagrass for many years. She had worked with her husband for the Trucking Co. and had also been employed by the Fafnir Bearing Co. She is survived by four daughters, Pauline and Camille Gagne of Forestville, Madeline and Vincent Sperlazza of Southington, Jacqueline and Don Damboise of Plainville, and Carol Cyr of Delaware; three sons, Reginald and Debbie Gagnon of Middletown, Nelson and Shirley Gagnon, and Leo and Diane Gagnon, all of Southington; four sisters, Priscilla Brausseau, Claudette Whear, Orora Marin of Bristol, and Pauline Pelletier of Maine; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wallagrass, Maine. All arrangements have been made by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
