ST. ALBANS and CORINNA Beryl Irene Huntley, 80, the wife of Halda Webster Huntley, died May 23, 2008, at her residence after a long illness. She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Knox, daughter of Dell A. and Beulah Welch Shorey. She was a graduate of Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1946, and had been an active member of Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna and Wellington Evangelical Community churches. She liked camping, watching birds, gardening and spending time with family. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 31 years of St. Albans, are two daughters, Eu-nice E. (Pipes) Watson and her husband, Murray Watson Sr., of Corinna and Carla (Pipes) Pratt and her husband, David, of Dover-Foxcroft; a stepson, Robert Huntley and his wife, Cindy, of Huntsville, Ala.; three sisters, Edith Burnham of Pittsfield, Olive Henderson and her husband, Willard, of Corinna and Beverly Stankevitz and her friend, Maynard Crosby, of Corinna; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Beryl was predeceased by her first husband, Wallace Isaiah Pipes Jr., to whom she was married 28 years; her brothers, Earl Shorey and Rodney Shorey; a sister, Ruth Tyler; and a daughter, Veryl Pipes. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski and Pastor Levi Pratt officiating. Burial will be after the service at Corinna Center Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends for a time of refreshment and fellowship after the interment at the church. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna.
