BANGOR – Betty A. Lawson, 67, died Dec. 10, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility after a long three year illness. She was born May 23, 1938, in Brewer, the daughter of William and Geneva (Cummings) Bohan. Betty enjoyed listening to music, oil painting, crafts and especially spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lawson; a special daughter, Debbie Lawson both of Bangor; three sons, Richard Lawson Jr. of Lakeland, Fla., Jeff Lawson of Old Town, and Chris Lawson of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Melanie, Richard III, Jeffrey, Amanda, Jenny and Aaron; four great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Sargent of Ocean Springs, Miss.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three brothers. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 13, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments following the services Wednesday at the St. John’s Parish Hall.
