FORT FAIRFIELD and PALM BAY, Fla. – Betty J. McCue Walker, 78, died Friday morning, Sept. 29, 2006, at a Palm Bay, Fla., nursing facility, after an extended illness. She was born June 19, 1928, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of James and Annie (Woodard) Burtchell. She was educated in the Fort Fairfield school system and had also attended the Golden School of Beauty, Portland. She was a member of the United Parish Church, Fort Fairfield. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by both husbands, Donald McCue and Mahlen Walker; two nephews, Scott and Gregg Walker; one half sister, Audrey McCarthy; and one brother-in-law, Jarrard Ward. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James H. and Joan McCue of Woodstock, New Brunswick; two grandchildren, Jamie McCue and her husband, Scott Clowes, of Woodstock, New Brunswick, and Nickalaj McCue of Fredericton, New Brunswick; two sisters, Norma Ward of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, and Patricia A. Walker of Palm Bay, Fla.; three nieces, Tamara Pompea of West Hartford, Conn., Stephanie Walker of Hartford, Conn., and Andrea Sue Walker of Palm Bay, Fla. A graveside service of committal will be conducted at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, at a future date and time to be announced by the Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
