FARMINGALE – Bibiana T. Malloy, of 23 Easy St., died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. She was born Bibiana T. Michaud, Sept. 18, 1933, in Daigle. Bibiana attended schools in Daigle and Fort Kent, and graduated from Fort Kent High School. In 1953 she married William and resided in Caribou until 1963. She graduated from the Maine School of Practical Nurses in 1960. She was employed at Cary Memorial Hospital, Caribou, then worked several years in Gardiner, Augusta and Osteopathic Hospital, Waterville. In 1976 she became a surgical technologist, working in Augusta and Waterville. In 1982, upon exam by the Association of Surgical Technologists, she became a certified technologist and for several years working in Clearwater, Fla., in the winter and Augusta MaineGeneral in the summer. In 2004, she returned to Maine and worked at MaineGeneral, Augusta, retiring in early 2008. She was a member of the Florida Surgical Tech Association and the American Association of Surgical Technologists. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the “County” and her many trips to Hawaii to visit her daughter and granddaughters. She also spent many pleasurable hours making dolls. She loved NFL and was an avid Patriots fan, never missing a televised game. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William R. Malloy; sons, Kirkwood L. and his wife, Jean Marie Malloy, of Westbrook and Gregory W. Malloy of Chelsea; daughter, Michelle Malloy Johnson of Farmingdale; special friend, Marsha Jolicoeur of Chelsea; granddaughter, Amy Malloy and husband, Chance Griffith, of Brunswick; granddaughters, Kyrie and Kayla Johnson of Farmingdale; grandson, Sgt. Daniel W. Malloy, U.S. Army; great-grandsons, Tyler Malloy of Brunswick and Camera Griffith of Brunswick; stepgrand-daughter, Shawna Wells of Hallowell; stepgrandson, Eric Russell of Fort Kent; stepgranddaughter, Karen Russell of Sayer, Pa.; sisters, Joan Jordan and husband, Ralph, of Enfield, Conn., Rita Michaud and husband, Ted Wecker, of Chicago; brothers, Jean Michaud and wife, Greta, of Enfield, Conn., and Phillip Michaud of Enfield, Conn.; sister-in-law, Diane Mich-aud of Portage; special family friend, “Auntie” Elaine Lacroix of Pinellas Park, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph D. Michaud and Yvonne Daigle Michaud; brothers, Mark and Louis Michaud; and sisters, Canside Duperry and Maubette Thiverige. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home. A funeral ceremony will be held 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be after at the new Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at St. Joseph’s Church, Lincoln Avenue, Gardiner, with the Rev. George Hickey officiating.
