CARIBOU – Blanche Munyan (Gay) Craig, 92, died Sept. 19, 2004, at a Caribou healthcare facility. She was born June 3, 1912, at Providence, R.I., the daughter of Robert E. and Alice (Munyan) Gay. She was educated in the Plainville, Mass. school system and graduated from the Salem State Teachers College in Salem, Mass. Blanche was employed in the clerical field and child care and was also employed by American Mutual Insurance in Wakefield, Mass. She was a member of the Crombie Street Congregational Church in Salem, Mass. and attended the Caribou Assembly of God Church. She was a member of the Victory Chapter O.E.S. Blanche is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Burleigh “Bill” and Darlene Craig of Caribou; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert E. and Phyllis Gay Jr. of Cumberland, R.I. and Arnold I. and Helen Gay of West Warwick, R.I.; her granddaughter, Danielle Craig; and grandson, Devin Craig, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Howard Gay; and a sister, Edith Mercer. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rennie Tichnor, pastor of the Caribou Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Blanche may do so through the Caribou Assembly of God Church memorial fund. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.
