PORTLAND – Brenda J. (Sibley) Glidden, 43, wife of Jonathan Douglas Glidden passed away April 7, 2004, at Fort Myers, Fla., after a long illness. She was born in Portland, Sept. 15, 1960, to Francis J. and Dorothy D. (Sibley) Sibley. Brenda grew up and attended schools in Scarborough, where she graduated from Scarborough High School in 1979. Brenda worked at Fairchild and National Semi-conductor of South Portland, for 23 years. She is survived by her husband; her parents; one brother, Francis J. Sibley Jr. and his wife, Rosemary (Carr) Sibley, of Standish; one sister, Sandra M. Sibley of Portland; a stepgrandfather, Charles Curtis of Medway; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vaughn and Rena Glidden of Lincoln; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by special friends, Diane and Ted Caldwell of Auburn, Allen Hahn of Old Orchard and Judy Petersen of Saco. Visiting hours will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Bell officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Burlington, at a later date.
