BRUCE ALTON DRAKE DEXTER – Bruce Alton Drake, 68, went to be with the Lord Dec. 18, 2005. He was born Nov. 8, 1937, at Dover-Foxcroft, a son of Bruce F. and Marie (Morin) Drake. He was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy and entered the Air Force at the age of 17, retiring from the Air National Guard after 23 years as a data processor. Bruce was manager for Superior Fence Company for seven years and was employed by Crosby & Neal for three years, retiring this summer due to failing health. He was a member of the Chadbourne-Merrill Post No. 29 American Legion of Dover-Foxcroft and the Guilford Center Baptist Church. Bruce also attended the First Free Baptist Church in Dexter. He is survived by his wife, Sunnie (Easler) Drake of Dexter; a son, Patrick Drake and wife, Cheryl, along with their two children, Jacquelyn and Connor of Boonesboro, Md.; a daughter, Tess Anderson and husband, Mike Anderson and their three children, Michael, Aaron and Seth of Hudson; two stepsons, Kirt Lorom of Dexter and his four sons and Lee Lorom of Anchorage, Alaska and his daughter; a brother, Frank Drake and wife, Gerri, of Crystal Falls and their children, Tommy, Libby, Carlton, Devon, Bruce and Frank; a sister, Mina Quirk and husband, Skip, of Ohio and their children, Cathy, Mary Jo and Anne Marie. His sister Shirley predeceased him, as well as his sister, Loretta. Also surviving him are Shirley’s children, Bobby and Lori Conrad of New York, Keith and his wife of Dexter, Drake and his wife of Florida and Faith and her husband of St. Albans. He will be missed by many friends. At his request, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter, with the Rev.
