PEMBROKE – Burton E. Morgan, 81, passed away at his home in Pembroke, Nov. 4, 2003. He was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Pembroke, the son of Scott and Clara (Stevens) Morgan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and participated in the invasion of Normandy on D-day. He was a member of the VFW. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes; and a son, Robert. He is survived by three daughters, Elaine Lamb of Dennysville, Lillian Pepper of Warwick, R.I., Joan Morgan of West Warwick, R.I., one son, Dennis Morgan; seven grandchildren; eight great-grand-children; brothers, Dale Sturk, and William Sturk; sisters, Verna Newcomb of Perry, Mary Stevens and Yvonne Carter of Pembroke, many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Pembroke, with the Pastor Gary Kinney officiating.
