SEBRING, Fla. – Bryon A. Young, 84, passed away Feb. 17, 2007, in Sebring, Fla. He was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Garfield Plantation, the son of George and Annie (Weaver) Young. He was the owner of a farm supply company, member and past president of the rotary club, member of the chamber of commerce, former chairman of the school board, past member of the Maine fair committee and deacon of the congregational church; all of Fort Kent; and was a resident of Sebring, Fla., since 1986, coming from Fort Kent. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Young of Sebring, Fla.; daughter, Gail Reich and husband, Michael, of Dedham, Mass.; sons, George Young and wife, Donna, of Naperville, Ill., Robert Young and wife, Trudie, of Windham, N.H., Thomas Young and wife, Deborah, of Hooksett, N.H.; sister, Helen Danforth and husband, Arthur, of Portland; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, James; daughters, Katherine, Bonita and Mary. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, Sebring, Fla., with Chaplain Cecil Kent officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Louis Cemetery, Fort Kent. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
