LEVANT – Carmelita M. “Carmie” Curry, 90, passed away Nov. 16, 2004, surrounded by her family at a Bangor health care center. She was born April 9, 1914, in Burnham, the daughter of Frank and Bernice (Hunt) Miles. Carmie was a resident of Hampden and Bangor most of her life and worked as a personal caregiver for many years. She lived a full life and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and helpful friend to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Darold and Marilyn Simpson of Abilene, Texas, Randall and Mariann Simpson of McGaheysville, Va.; one daughter and her husband, Sue and Mike Evans of Levant; a special daughter-in-law, Rita Simpson of Glenburn; 12 grandchildren, Mike, Jane, Tim, Valerie, Jenni-Lynn, David, Sharon, Lori, Janis, Mark and Lindsay; a special grandson, Peter “My Little Man”; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grand-children; one sister and brother-in-law, Allie and Stan Parsons of Zephyrhills, Fla.; one uncle and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie Curry and a special friend, Helen Crocker. A celebration of Carmie’s life for family and friends will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Sue Evans, 564 Avenue Road, Levant.
