HAMPDEN – Carol Ann Daigle, 52, died Saturday Oct. 23, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 1, 1952, in Skowhegan the daughter of Harrison and Theresa (Bearor) Daigle. She graduated from Madison High School, Class of 1970 and attended the University of Maine at Bangor, receiving a degree in criminal justice. Carol has lived in the Bangor area since 1971, where she was employed for airport security, Mr. Paperback, and public relations, all at the Bangor International Airport. Carol was a very strong person who endured many years of illness while always being more concerned for the well being of others, rather than for herself. She was a generous, giving person, who touched the lives of all those she met through her kindness and compassion. She is survived by the love of her life, Dennis “Punkin” O’Mara of Hampden; a special daughter, Kathy O’Mara of Escondido, Calif.; brothers and sisters, Phil Daigle and his wife, Cindy, of Madison, Susan Price and her husband, Harold, of Madison, Margaret Daigle of Madison, Michelle Farnsworth and her husband, Luther, of Ft. Drum, N.Y., and Michael Daigle and his wife, Allison, of Framingham, Mass.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; a special person, Dennis’ mother, Ethel O’Mara and special friends, Sharon Littlefield, Big Jeannette and Little Jeannette. Special thanks the staff at St. Joseph Hospital, who cared for Carol over the years. Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Madison. Interment will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
