WYLIE, Texas – Carol Tyler Furber went to be with her heavenly father and join loved ones gone before her, June 21, 2006, at Baylor University Hospital, Dallas, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Carol was born April 8, 1933, to Harry Everett Tyler and Marjorie Helen Johnson Tyler. She attended Milltown Grammar School and graduated from Calais Memorial High School, Class of 1950. She leaves to mourn her passing, two beloved children, Christopher S. Furber of Wylie, Texas and Julie Ann Carol Furber of Houston; one brother, Harry Tyler and wife, Betty, of Calais; two sisters, Shirley Clark and husband, Fred, of Waterville, Joyce Avery and husband, George, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers-in-law, Carter Furber and wife, Carolyn, of York and Chester Chase of Cape Neddick; many very special and beloved nieces and nephews; a very special family, Gary, Fran, Brian, and Pamela Adornato of Wylie, Texas. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the First Parish Church, York. Interment will be after the service in the First Parish Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105.
