PARKMAN – Carolyn E. (Davis) Woodard Perkins, 78, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend has gone home to be with the Lord and her family and friends waiting in heaven, June 29, 2006. Carolyn was born May 5, 1928, in Parkman, daughter of George D. Davis and Esther H. (Stilson) Davis. She attended schools in both Parkman and Guilford. She married Everett M. Woodard in 1945. He died November of 1972. Together they had four beautiful children. She worked at Guilford Industries until her retirement. She later married Clyde M. Perkins in 1985. He died in 2001. She enjoyed flower arranging, growing vegetables for the fairs and cooking. She organized the Annual Cornville six-mile yard sale for many years along with Evelyn Demmons. People stopped just to buy her famous fudge and visit. Most of all she cherished her family. The Christmas Eves with all of her family present was what she loved. She has left us all with many cherished memories. She is survived by two daughters and one son, Charlotte Lake and husband, Hartley, of Harmony, Cheryl Ricker and husband, Garnet Sr., of Wellington, Martin Woodard Sr. and wife, Barbara, of Abbot; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Starre and Danny White Sr. and their boys, Danny Jr. and Nikolas of Parkman, Garnet Ricker Jr. and Kim of Skowhegan and Rick’s boys, Michael, Matthew and Aaron, Tony Ricker and Amy and their children, Christopher, Preston, Abbey and Brylee of Wellington, Shane Ricker and Becky, their boys Warren, Brodie and Jared of Harmony, Martin Woodard Jr. and Trish and their children, Brandon and Ashley of Sangerville, Robbie Woodard and Liz and their children, Logan and Bailey of Parkman, Holly Woodard and her girls, Alyssa and Allyson of Parkman; step-daughter, Joyce Jones and husband, Marvin, of Cornville; brothers and sisters, Ferne Beckwith, Omar Davis and wife, Betty, Barbara Thurlow and husband, David, Wayne Davis and wife, Emily, of Virginia Beach, Va., Elaine McKenzie and husband, Leslie, Wade Davis and wife, Mary, all of Parkman; a special cousin and travel companion, Norma Young of Sangerville; several nieces and nephews. She was greeted in heaven by her husband, Everett Woodard along with her son, Edwin Woodard who died in 1958; her parents; brothers, Marvin, Lloyd, Millard; sister, Hildred Kimball; great-grandson, Todd; great-granddaughter, Paige; and also Clyde Perkins. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 3, at the Parkman Baptist Church, with burial at the Pingree Center Cemetery.
