SOLON – Carolyn J. Bull, 65, went to be with her Lord and Savior May 1, 2004, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born May 2, 1938, in Washburn, the daughter of Kenneth R. and Dorthy M. (Hobbs) Peary. She was a graduate of Washburn High School, Class of 1956. She married Lief V. Bull on Aug. 23, 1956, at the Washburn Baptist Church by the Rev. Reuben Mouitin. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, quilting, and going to craft fairs. She also enjoyed entertaining in her home. At Christmas time she loved to decorate the inside of her home with the most awesome Christmas display. She was very devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a former member of the Palm Beach Baptist Church in Lake Worth, Fla., and a member of Crossroads Bible Church in Madison. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Lief V. Bull of Solon; a son, Dean R. Bull and his wife, Cheryl, of Roswell, Ga.; a daughter, Cynthia L. Fitzmaurice and her husband, Allan Jr., of Solon; her mother, Dorothy M. Peary of East Longmeado, Mass.; two brothers, Darryl Peary and his wife, Melvina, of Londonderry, N.H., and Douglas Peary of South Windsor, Conn.; a sister, Janice Day and her husband, Ira, of Anson; four grandchildren, Kristen R. Bull of Roswell, Ga., and Adam, Ashely and Aaron Fitzmaurice of Solon; several aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many, many, close friends. She was predeceased by her father, Kenneth R. Peary. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday May 4, 2004, at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, with a funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Crossroads Bible Church, Rt. 148, Madison, with Pastor George Finnemore officiating. Interment will be at the South Solon Cemetery, South Solon Road, Solon. Donations may be made in her memory to Gideon International (cards will be available at the church), or to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, Inc., One Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1246.
