BLAINE – Carroll J. Gilman, 74, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at a Houlton hospital. He was born March 30, 1932, in Blaine, the son of Verna Gilman. Carroll was a self-employed earthwork contractor for many years and also raised beef cattle. One of his favorite past times was enjoying a cup of coffee with his friends. He was an attendee of the Free Baptist Church, Blaine. He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Henderson and her husband, Tom, of Bridgewater; two grandchildren, Jennifer Vincent and her husband, Fred, of Hampden and Adam Hen-derson and his wife, Carissa, of Bridgewater; also a great- grandson, Chase Henderson. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Friends may call 2 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Sanborn Cemetery, Blaine. After the funeral, a reception will be held at Bridgewater Free Baptist Church, in the fellowship hall.
