SOUTH GOULDSBORO – Carroll L. Quinn Sr., 62, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 6, 2006. He was born June 14, 1943, in North Lubec. Carroll was a resident of Milford, Mass. for 29 years before moving to South Gouldsboro nine years ago, a place he grew up as a young boy before moving to Boston, Mass. in 1955. He graduated from Boston Trade High School, Class of 1960. He worked for 26 years as a skilled tradesman at General Motors in Framingham, Mass., having retired in 1994. He was a member of UAW Local 422. Never idle, Carroll was often seen with his 1965 Pontiac GTO or fixing cars. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, Downeast Maine and western movies. Upon moving to Boston and growing up in the Fenway, he attended all of the Red Sox home games and practices and was asked to be a bat boy. He was the beloved husband of the late Cheryl (Hicks) Quinn, who died on the same day, May 6, 1997, after 35 years of marriage. He was the beloved son of the late Almon Quinn and the late Ethel (Cox) Quinn; cherished father of daughter, Angela Quinn Crispi; and son-in-law, David of Needham, Mass; and son, Lee Quinn; and daughter-in-law, Lorianne of Mendon, Mass.; loving grandfather of Thomas, Lauren, Nicolas and Michael; and dear brother of Louis Quinn of West Gouldsboro. He leaves many dear family members and friends. Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the James E. Kellett & Son Funeral Home, 21 West St., Milford, Mass. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Hopedale, Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A memorial service will be held in several weeks in South Gouldsboro and details will follow. Memorial donations in Carroll’s name may be made to the Carroll L.
