SHERMAN – Catherine “Kay” Curtis, 81, died Aug. 17, 2005, at Patten. She was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Vermont, the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Blow) Coutts. She graduated from Northfield, Vt. schools and was a secretary for Norwich University, the Town of Sherman and MSAD 25. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Freeman W. Curtis in 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie and her husband, Tom Harris, of Little Compton, R.I.; three grandchildren, Scott of Washington, D.C., Kristen of Quincy, Mass., and Chad and Sandi of Roswell, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, William and Catherine; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Sides of Sherman. Friends may call 2-3 p.m. Sunday, at the Washburn Memorial Church, Sherman, with funeral service being held at 3 p.m. Interment will be in the Sherman Mills Cemetery.
