BANGOR – Cecil M. Lawson, 96, husband of the late Kathleen (Bunker) Lawson, died Feb. 23, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1911, in Brewer, the son of Evart and Mary (Kelley) Lawson. Cecil was a truck driver for Webber Oil for 42 years. He is survived by two children, Ruth Brown of Jackman and Robin Townsend of Bangor; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by three children, Keith, Kenneth and Gerald Law-son; and by 12 brothers and sisters. Cecil’s family thanks the staff of Eastern Maine Med-ical Center, Bangor, for the excellent care that was provided. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where family and friends may visit noon until the service begins. The Rev. Patricia Moore, pastor of Milford Congregational Church, will preside and burial will be later in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
